Oh My God! Am Getting Married!

qThat’s just an expression, but am not (how I wish I am)! That’s how a bride-to-be tells her friends and family when her long time boyfriend finally pops the question, right? And although we are not the one’s who are getting married, we begin to get excited and immediately make thoughtful plans on how to do it. There should be someone to take care of the wedding dress, it should be simple yet elegant. And the reception should be something everyone must enjoy and of course, what makes the bride more beautiful are the choice of flowers to be used from bouquets, flowers in the church, center piece on the table in the reception and many more.

So here are the tips on how to perfectly choose the Flowers that is right for your wedding.

  • Bridal magazines, books and you will be surprised that you can also look up on gardening books or landscaping books or sites to help you choose the flower that tells how you feel. If you don’t have any knowledge of flowers, I am sure that you do know how to appreciate a beautifully arranged flower when you see one. You don’t have to know the scientific names or the different types of specie for a certain flower. As long as you know it would fit for the occasion and will adorn your wedding day then it will be just perfect for you. Although sometimes it does help if you know the significance of the flower.

  • You just have to know your budget limits. You don’t have to be extravagant or glamorous in picking the perfect flower. You don’t want to end up owning all the beautiful flowers and compromising other important things for your nuptials. Think about your budget, do the math before getting too excited. You need to know how much are you going for the flowers, for your wedding dress, for the receptions and the list is virtually endless. Make a list of all your “must-haves”. Consider improvising if need be. Do not just say yes to your florist just because you were awed by how beautiful it was presented to you. Be honest if you can’t afford it, maybe they have other options for you. Almost the same quality yet not very expensive. Be honest to yourself and others.

  • Color choice is very important. So the color of your flower should complement with the gown the theme of your wedding. Consider choosing the color of the season since it will get a lot more inexpensive. Think about how you would want your flowers to be arranged and its placements. And of course, pick the color that will stand out. It will take an additional glow not only to the bride but to the whole entourage and even to the invitees.
  • More importantly, there will be no right or wrong in choosing the flower you want to have on your big day. After all, you will have to decide on it. You just need some help in understanding the basics of the theme, the budget, the location and the color. But everything will fall into your lap.
